Get lost in the rolling hills of the Flemish Ardennes and go for a stroll in Muziekbos.
135 acres of forest in the heart of Ronse. Muziekbos is good for short walks to make part of a longer hike and for mini explorations into the nature of Belgium. The name “Muziekbos” actually comes from the Celtic word “Moz” for swamp, so don’t go in expecting a musical number from this forest. Go to Muziekbos to hear the sounds of nature and to explore the hidden gems of Ronse, including Geuzentoren.
Muziekbos has tons of nature to see. We don’t just mean trees (though there’s lots of those too). But Muziebos is home to hyacinths. These purple and pink flowers might not be as grand as Hallerbos, but this forest still has pretty flowers that really look their best in the spring.
Cycling is popular in the Ardennes. Close to this forest and Ronse is a little village on a hillage famous for the Tour de Flanders.
